Fuel-Water Emulsion (FWE)
Fuel Water Emulsion (FWE) is the technology where fuel is emulsified with water in diesel engines. The water-fuel mixture increases the combustion efficiency of the engine at the same consumption rate. This causes the engine to have more power than before. Another advantage of FWE technology is that it reduces soot and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. The principle behind the technology is that the water-fuel mixture is injected into the combustion chamber, where the water particles evaporate immediately due to the high temperature, which results in a micro-explosion. This creates the fuel droplet to be exploded into many smaller droplets, creating a larger surface area to which it is ignited. The newly created fuel spray burns more efficiently and cleaner, resulting in decreased soot and NOx emissions.
